42. Pulled pork and coleslaw

42. Pulled pork and coleslaw

I'm not the greatest fan of pulled pork, I think it's overrated and you completely lose the taste of pork. The coleslaw made it tolerable but not great.       3/10

41. Devilled ham sandwich

41. Devilled ham sandwich

You put sliced ham, red onion, mayo, whole-grain mustard, Worcester sauce and hot sauce in a blender. Out comes a sort of coarse pate or a mixture like you get out of a jar. Easy to spread and reasonably tasty, I'm just not sure that a perfectly good piece of ham should ever be treated like that.   6.5/10

40. Jerk chicken with pinapple salsa

40 Jerk chicken with pineapple salsa

My favourite so far. Tasty jerk spicing on a grilled chicken breast and a really refreshing pineapple salsa made from pineapple chunks, honey, lime, red onion and red pepper. Absolutely delicious.  10/10

39. Bosna

39. Bosna

Austrian style hot dog. Basically, wurst style sausage with ketchup, mayo & mustard. Thank God for the sauces, I'm not the greatest fan of wurst sausages, they have so little flavour.    4/10

38. Adana Kebab

38. Adana Kebab

Lamb mince, onion, green pepper & parsley shaped into a log shape and then grilled. Serve in a pitta with tomato and more green pepper. Tasted lovely but the pepper and onion kept falling out of the lamb log and the pitta fell apart. Too big for a sandwich...?      6/10

37. Po Boy

37 Po Boy

King prawns deep fried in polenta although we used couscous with cajun seasoning and served in a sub role with mayo and lettuce. Our Couscous fell off despite dipping the prawns in egg and I forgot the mayo. However, a prawn sandwich is never going to be horrible.        7/10

36. Sabich

36. Sabich

Not the most attractive thing I've ever made. Israeli mixture of aubergine, hard boiled egg, cucumber, tomato and various seasoning in pitta bread. Better than it looks but still only average.   4/10

35. Cemita Poblana

35. Cemita Poblana

You bash a small steak, breadcrumb it and fry it until crisp and golden. Serve with avocado, salsa and grated cheese. Comfort food!            7/10

34. Chimichurri

34. Chimichurri

These came out absolutely huge but were very light when I ate them. Home made burgers made with mince, onion, green pepper and Worcester Sauce. Served with a sauce made from ketchup, mayo and mustard.        7/10

33. Man'oushe

33. Man'oushe

It wasn't horrible but tomato, red onion, parsley and pickled turnips in a wrap isn't really my thing. First time I've had sumac as a spice and that was interesting.    4/10

32. Burrito

32. Burrito

Who doesn't like a Burrito? Thr corn tortilla has a lovely taste and the mixture of fried steak, gucamole and various spices taste delicious with the green pepper giving a different texture.     8/10

31. Bratwurst

31. Bratwurst

Well who doesn't love hot dogs? Bratwurst are not my favourite. Love their size, love their skin but they just lack a bit for me in the flavour area. Not bad though.     5/10

30. Broodje Haring

30. Broodje Haring

Soused herring fillet in a submarine roll. The taste of the fish is really nice but the strength of the vinegar was almost overwhelming. I used lettuce leaves to offset it but it needs something else to dull down the powerful fish. Not a favourite.           4/10

29.Rou Jia Mo

29. Rou Jia Mo

This involves cooking cubed pork belly for a couple of hours in water with ginger, spring onion, star anise, cinnamon, soy and rice wine. It is served in a toasted English muffin with strips of green pepper. Really tender with the pepper giving the sandwich an added texture and crunch. Actually, really nice but a bit of an effort for a quick sandwich.     6/10

28. Veal Schnitzel Sandwich

28. Veal Schnitzel Sandwich

Well who doesn't like Veal Schnitzel? I know, I know, all vegetarians! Well to me it's comfort food and easy to eat, I just, having tried it, don't believe it belongs in a sandwich. It should be served with chips and peas. The Dijon mustard lifted it, but it cam across as slightly bland.         5/10

27. Club sandwich

27. Club sandwich

I've never really seen the point of the Club sandwich and when I've had them in the past, they've been alright but nothing exceptional. What ended up here was the sandwich that I've been most pleased with so far. It looked great, stayed together and actually tasted really good. I used leftover Christmas turkey rather than chicken. The mustard and mayo come through and the avocado works really nicely with crispy bacon. An unexpected delight.         9/10
